Patreon
Patreon is a crowdfunding platform that we use to fund Nexus Raiders community events and activities! Here's how it works:
- Create an account & add a payment method
- Go to our Patreon page and pledge a $ amount to give every month
- Feel good about yourself for helping the community
- Get rewards based on your pledge tier
It's really that simple. If you've ever heard of Kickstarter or Indiegogo, Patreon is basically the same thing, except it's a reoccurring charge - kind of like a monthly donation. It's also a great way for us to give back to those who support us financially (through our rewards)! Once you set up your pledge, you don't need to worry about going back to check - Patreon takes care of processing the charge each month. You can also adjust your pledge at any time depending on how generous you're feeling!
Pledges go towards getting guest casters and hosts, purchasing prizes and giveaways, paying our staff (once we hit $250/month in pledges!), and paying monthly maintenance fees. Without the financial support from our Patrons, Nexus Raiders wouldn't be the amazing community that it is today - you can be a part of that and help ensure that Nexus Raiders will continue to thrive for years to come!
Every dollar counts! Seriously, if everyone pledged $1/month, we'd have enough funding to consistently hire guests to cast (remember when we had Gillyweed cast our Season 2 Finals?), give better prizes for our events, and so much more.
